Michael KintMichael Kint
Chief Executive Officer
Michael joined the United Way of Indian River County in 1995, first as Foundation Administrator, Success by 6 Coordinator and later as COO.  His steadfast leadership has grown the organization, in mission, in scope and in impact.  As a testament to his leadership skills, Michael is currently Chair of the Board of Governor’s of the United Way of Florida.   During his term as CEO, Michael has focused on sound fiscal management and transparency, and the development of key community impact initiatives including:  championing the founding and the steering of the Mental Health Collaborative, 2-1-1, the United Way of Indian River County’s ESF 15 Function, the development of the Indian River County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, the creation of the Family Financial Stability Initiative . Michael holds an M.A. from Nothern Illinois University.  In addition to his many activities on behalf of the Indian River Community Michael is busy most weekends chasing after his two grandsons.

Sandra BlockSandra Block
Finance Director
Sandra Block merged her talents with United Way of Indian River County in 2009. Her focus is the continuous improvement of internal controls, reporting and operational efficiencies. Sandra works closely with the United Way of Indian River County’s Finance Committee to ensure Board-level oversight of financial operations while capitalizing on the extraordinary talents and experience of these volunteers. She has a passion for supporting all United Way of Indian River County departments in their budget management to ensure efficiency and improved financial and non-financial results.  Sandra’s professional history is rich in non-profit fiscal management, accounting, and instruction. In addition, she holds numerous software and network administrator certifications including Teaching Certificates in Quickbooks and MS Office, and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Thompson Institute of Business.  She the proud mother of a first-year law student and is a passionate trainer of service animals.

Clair BrunettiClair Brunetti
Director of Resource Development
Clair Brunetti has been a fundraising professional for the past 20 years.   She is a seasoned and accomplished fundraiser in nearly all aspects of development, including capital and annual campaign management, principal and major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, annual funds, and special events. Clair also brings proficiency in providing counsel to executive and board leadership, staff development and non-profit communications.  Clair came to United Way of Indian River County after running her own fund raising consulting practice for three years.  Prior to starting her practice, Clair served as Director of Development at St. Christopher’s, Inc., located in Dobbs Ferry, New York.  Before her tenure at St. Christopher’s, Inc., Clair served as the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Morris County, New Jersey.   Clair holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Felician College. Her professional and volunteer memberships have included the Westchester Association of Development Officers; Executive Women’s Golf Association; Pequannock Valley Rotary; Pequannock Valley Chamber of Commerce; Township of Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce, Recreation Commissioner of Franklin Lakes, Sailfish Striders Running Club and Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside. Clair has three grown children, Jamie, Raymond and Jody and currently resides in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The bumper sticker on her card reads: “I know I run like a Girl, Try and Keep up!”

Michelle MalynMichelle Malyn
Director of Gift Planning

Michelle has worked within the United Way system for more than 10 years.  She joined the United Way of Indian River County in 2004, and after serving as the Campaign Director for almost five years was named the Director of Gift Planning in late 2008.  Michelle serves as staff support for the United Way Foundation of Indian River County, Inc., a supporting organization and separate charitable entity.  She works with a highly specialized Board of Directors focused on building an endowment to support the United Way of Indian River County’s mission.  The endowment generates resources, in perpetuity, to further United Way’s work here in our community and extends our reach, long-term, in advancing the common good.  With an emphasis on deferred giving, she meets personally with donors who may be interested in learning more about planned giving, and how sophisticated giving vehicles can be structured to offer significant tax benefits while helping donors achieve their personal philanthropic goals at the same time. Prior to joining the United Way of Indian River County, Michelle served in the Marketing Communications department at Heart of Florida United Way in Orlando.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida.  Michelle lives in the area with her husband, Josh, and is an avid amateur photographer.

Faith FrazierFaith Frazier
Director of Workplace Giving
Faith Frazier is deep into her first year as the new Director of Workplace Giving for the United Way of Indian River County.  Faith is an accomplished presenter and holds two Master’s Degrees.  She also brings a high level of knowledge and familiarity with many businesses and non-profits in Indian River County.  Frazier previously held the position of Office Manager for Amerilife and Health Services where she was responsible for numerous Human Resource responsibilities. In 2005 she was hired as the first Community Relations Specialist for 2-1-1, the information and referral line, and was solely responsible for developing a great number of community partnerships and promotions that continue to this day.  Faith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Barry University and an M.S. in Human Resources Development and Administration from Barry as well as a Master’s of Science Management from Warner Southern University. Faith has extensive training in Diversity issues, Business Communications and Interpersonal and Public Relations.

Doris ButlerDoris Butler
Campaign Associate
Doris has been with the United Way of Indian River County since 2005. She is currently our Campaign Associate and coordinates many aspects of our Annual Campaign including our extensive direct mail program.  In addition, she serves as Co-Chair of Day of Caring working with agencies and other non-profits to develop projects.  She coordinated the Richardson and Agency Excellence Awards which are given out at our popular annual Community Leaders Breakfast. Doris handles reservations for our Community Room and Board room , housed in the United Way Center. These rooms are available at no cost to local non-profit organizations for group meetings.  A non-profit professional, Doris spent most of her life in Hagerstown, Maryland working for the Washington County Health Department as well as several United Way funded agencies. She holds and Associates of Arts degree from Hagerstown Community College with an emphasis on Human Services. She is an active and grateful champion for our many office volunteers.  Last year, Doris took 3rd Place in her division for her Turkey Chili at the Indian River Firefighters Annual Chili Cook-off.   She can be found most weekends enjoying the Florida weather and playing with Yogi, her dachshund.

Eve BallanceEve Ballance
Community Investment Coordinator

Eve has worked for United Way of Indian River County since 2003. She coordinates our extensive Citizen’s Review Process every spring bringing together over a hundred community volunteers.  Born in New South Wales, Australia, Eve is our most international staff member. She worked for over 15 years at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria in conference services and received a degree from McPherson College in Melbourne, Australia.  Fluent in German, she managed the School Thrift Store for the American International School in Vienna while raising her twins.  While at the United Way, Eve has been instrumental in the development of our Family Financial Stability Initiative, actively promoting our Familywize Discount Prescription Card and single-handedly launching our VITA tax preparation program.

Lisa Djahed
Marketing Lisa DjahedDirector

Lisa Djahed is a non-profit marketing and public relations professional with over 20 years experience helping local and national non-profits increase their exposure, broaden their audience, and think strategically about message development and delivery. Lisa started her career in non-profit publishing and has developed national and local marketing campaigns for hundreds of books including the best-seller, Always Running: Gang Days in L.A. the disability memoir, The Little Locksmith, and Still Alive: A Holocaust Girlhood Remembered.  In addition to her event and publicity work, Lisa Djahed is a prolific writer and presenter. In her various professional capacities, Lisa Djahed has written over 75 speeches and published five opinion editorials in papers in Washington, D.C., Virginia, New York City and Vero Beach, FL. In her free time she writes book reviews and had several published in The Women’s Review of Books As a professional speaker she has conducted programs at the Poets House in New York City, at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center, and at the Associated Writing Program’s annual convention.   Lisa has recently completed work on her first cozy mystery entitled The Foolish Stepmom (as yet unpublished) and is twelve chapters into its sequel.  Lisa holds a Bachelors in English from Eastern Connecticut State University is slowly teaching herself Farsi to better communicate with her mother-in-law.

Four Things You Can Do

1. Start a food drive at your work to benefit the Treasure Coast Food Bank.

2. Clean your closet and donate items to the Homeless Family Center or the Samaritan Center.

3. Give $2 a week through your paycheck at work to support United Way partner agencies.

4. Mentor a kid! (Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Youth Guidance, Boys & Girls Clubs & more).
