Annual Campaign

United Way volunteers have set a fundraising goal of $2,525,000 for the 2012-2013 campaign year. The need in our community remains high; we continue to aspire to advancing the common good in the areas of education, income and health, and we need to raise the support necessary to make that happen.

The volunteers who serve on the Campaign Cabinet and those who serve as Loaned Executives along with many other volunteers and staff are hard at work soliciting donations.

Running a United Way campaign is a simple, yet effective way to give back to your community. We can help you develop a fundraising campaign that is right for your company and your employees. Call our Director of Workplace Giving, Faith Frazier at 567-8900, ext 12 or via email at faith.frazier@unitedwayirc.org.

We are thankful to our Torchbearers, which are businesses which set the standard for giving early by pledging to raise a minimum of $12,000 through employee campaigns and corporate gifts. We also thank our Elite Campaign Sponsors who sign on early in the campaign to keep administrative costs to a minimum.

Riverside Theatre Partners with United Way

A new partnership has formed between Riverside Theatre and the United Way of Indian River County.

If you’ve already been to the theatre this season, you may have been asked to donate a dollar per ticket to our local United Way, you may have noticed the United Way thermometer as you turned onto Riverside Park Drive, or maybe you saw the United Way banners in the lobby of the theatre. These are all signs of a growing relationship between the theatre and the community it serves.

“Riverside Theatre is an important Vero Beach asset drawing people to this community. It is a quality organization that wants to be a leader in giving back,” said Michael Kint, CEO, United Way of Indian River County. “We’re delighted to have formed this partnership and are looking forward to ways we can collaborate further for the good of those in need.”

“We consider ourselves an integral part of this community and are committed to supporting United Way as they look to advance the common good,” explained Allen Cornell, Producing Artistic Director, Riverside Theatre. “We fully trust United Way of Indian River County to make the most of the dollars raised by the generosity of our patrons.”

Riverside Theatre, Inc. is committed to providing a total theatre arts experience that entertains, challenges and educates both adults and children by; producing quality works from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Regional Theatres with an emphasis on high production values; providing the youth of the community with a broad range of education opportunities that will cultivate tomorrow’s artist and audiences, while building the skills of today; and providing a nurturing and collaborative environment for the artist, educators, and staff.
