Community impact is about creating sustained, lasting change.

For example, it’s one thing to provide subsidized child care to some families in need. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that every family in Indian River County has access to a quality and affordable early childhood education program? Ensuring that every child in our community healthy, nurtured and ready to succeed is a big challenge and it’s just the kind of issue United Way has taken on.

Taking on a challenge this big might seem impossible, we estimate that there are 2,000 children in our county who are in need of a quality early learning and childcare program. Rest assured United Way isn’t focused on this issue alone. We have the partnership and support of the entire community behind us; schools, the faith community, local government, private business- both large and small, human service agencies and notably, YOU – our most important resource.
