United Way of Indian River County has been making children a focus for over 50 years through funding, through community change work and policy advocacy. You can take part, galvanize this community to raise awareness of early learning, support families, and push for programs, budgets and laws improving young children's lives. The focus under Early Learning is that all children are nutured by caregivers who promote early learning and development to prepare them for Kindergarten. Aligned with the Community Goal to increase to 85% the children who enter Kindergarten ready to succeed, by 2019.

The focus for School and Academic Success is that all children succeed and achieve in school and that students will continue to stay on track for High School Readiness. Aligned with the Community Goal to increase to 90% the 3rd Graders who are performing on Grade Level and increase their positive behaviors, by 2019.

The focus for Graduate for Success is that students graduate high school on time prepared for continuing education, work and life. Aligned with the Community Goal to increase to 90% the students who graduate on time from High School, by 2019.
