Alexis deTocqueville Society

Alexis deTocqueville Society

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society gives national recognition to individuals who contribute a minimum of $10,000 to the United Way annually. The name of this society was chosen because of deTocqueville's admiration for the American spirit of volunteerism and philanthropy. Members of this society together contributed 33% of the $3 million raised in support of services in 2015-2016. Tocqueville members stand as strong symbols of support for initiatives and programs that improve lives while building a stronger, healthier, more vibrant community. For four years running, the Indian River Chapter of this national society has been recognized nationally for its growth and contributions for the size of its population. Membership in this Society offers unique opportunities, including national recognition and a variety of social, networking, community and business-related events. For more information on the Indian River Chapter of the Alexis deTocqueville Society, contact Meredith Egan at (772) 567-8900 or via email at meredith.egan@unitedwayirc.org.
